絵を本格的に習い始めた１７歳のときから２００８までの作品を通じて、「自分は何が表現したいのか？」をずっと問いただしてきました。
What I have been asking myself, since the age of seventeen when I seriously started taking up painting, up to 2008, is this: “what do I want to express in my art?
’０８年に入り、あらためてHP上での‘９９〜’０８年までの作品を振り返り、自分がイメージするビジョンにある方向性があることに気づきました。
I took some time to look back and reflect on my works from 1999 to 2008 on my web site, and I realized that there was a certain direction in my vision.
僕が想い描くイメージはあるストーリーの一場面であることが多く、映画や漫画、小説などの疑似体験と音楽の抽象性や旅を中心にした実体験を混合して生み出されています。
That is, what I try to imagine and capture tends to be part of a story. It is a fusion of several things; simulated experience based on movies, comic books, and novels; abstractness stemmed from music; and real life experience mostly from traveling.
連続していく時間や生活の中で一瞬で過ぎ去る、ともすれば忘れてしまうあらゆるドラマ、空想、また人が忘れてはならないささやかな感情や想いをひとつの場面に絵画として構成、演出することで、一枚の絵に仕上げることを大切にしています。
What is central to me is that I complete a painting by organizing and producing on a canvas fleeting, otherwise forgotten, moments and imaginations in ordinary, successive daily life, and subtle emotions and passions that people should not overlook.
手先が小器用なこともあり、様々なスタイルで制作しておりますが、これからもどんどん変わり続けます。その制作発表の過程をあらゆる方がたと一瞬でも共有できたら大変嬉しく思います。
Luckily, my adroitness has allowed me to create art in various ways, and I intend to add more diversity my styles. I would really like the chance to share with many people my artworks as they evolve.
